November 18, 2001 - Meteor Shower
Woke up at 5:30 in the morning today to watch the meteor shower.
Holy Mother of Crap! That must have been the coolest thing I have ever seen.
Tracy, Nimbus and I, were all out on our balcony,
freezing our morning glories, staring at the sky.
We must have seen at least 30 meteor light shows.
It was a bit cloudy though, but it was one hell of a show.
I felt so lucky seeing it.
(Scratch that off the "Wish list")
Maybe I get to watch the next one in 2099.
What else happened this weekend....hmmmmm.
Oh yeah!!!!
My friends beware....
I am in the process of re-training my insides to get used to alcohol.
YESSSS!!
A-L-K-A-H-A-L!!!
Grabbed a couple of wines and beer from the store,
and had some last night while watching some rented movies...
mmmmmmmm...easy..and..smooth..
Now if I could only train my body for lactose tolerance,
I'll be all set!

November 16, 2001 - CDI JAM
These past few weeks has been crazy at work.
Paperworks are coming out of our yin-yang.
Plus we are going to be audited next week...so...no pressure added.
Anyways,
I better stop there..coz I might be able to say something that I may regret.
Ryan Forsberg, Michael Wennerwald and myself
have agreed to have a little "after school hours" Jam.
At work, in the Lab.
I haven't jammed in a while
so they didn't have to twist my arm.
I am so in!
Ryan, one of our excellent Programming Instructors,
can slap that BASS guitar like a red-headed stepchild.
I mean he does that "Seinfeld Segway" Bass guitar slap like you wouldn't believe.
He plays them classic diminished notes that if he were just to make them up,
I'll still believe him.
Mike is our new guy in the Network Side.
He has that fat 70's tone that I have always wanted. (God, I miss my Strat)
Heavily influenced by Jimmy Page,
he rocked the whole jam with classic blues licks.
We started out the jam with simple blues.
All the way to fast melodic rock,
a jazzy touch by Ryan,
all the way to a rock version of
Michael Jackson's
Billy Jean,
to a busy "Carol of the Bells" Christmas song.
And even the Bell phone commercial internet Jam.
It was a pretty good jam for the boys who just want to have fun.
(Ryan please tell me we got rid of the
alcohols,
beer
I mean ...refreshments.)

Tracy and I saw this movie
13 Ghosts
....and I must say ..it spooked me pretty good.
I love scary movies...I really do.
But it has to have a good balance.
I mean scary enough to make me look around when I am in the bathroom,
but not twisted enough that I spend the whole time deciphering it.
A couple of stuff that I wanted to share though...regarding watching movies.
How come no matter where I sit,
I always end up sitting right beside the most talkative guy in the theater?
No matter where you sit,
the back of your chair will always be kicked.
If you go to the Matinee screening times,
you always end up watching the movie with acne popping, attention deprived,
hormone raging teenagers, like the ones you see at McDonalds after school.
And lastly,
PLEASE do not bring your children to watch an Adult movie,
not to mention horror ones....
Geezz! Traumatize them for life why don't you?
I know this because I sneaked out of bed..to watch "The Exorcist" with my folks,
and yes..it scared the hell out of me.
Okay....that's it.
I better go to bed.
It's pretty late.
And that kid in "The Shining" won't leave my mind.

Happy Birthday Tracy!
If there is one thing I learned about relationships,
--THESE--
goes a long way with women.
Take note of that boys.
To the person who listens to me,
to the friend who always stands by me,
to the nurse that heals my pain,
to the lover that keeps the flame burning,
and to the partner who always understands.
Happy Birthday Tracy!
I love you with all my heart.

November 1, 2001 -
STYX
It's sad sometimes when you tell a friend you are going to see a concert.
Then you tell them who you're going to see...and they are like...
"WHO?".
Anyways....I do not care.
All I know is that,
I love this band!
And I am going to have a good time.
This is the second time I have seen Styx in concert.
Both in Ottawa. Both in the same venue.
And both turned out to be a one hell of a show.
Light shows and effects was just half of it.
The music kept me singing all the way through.
It is just so amazing how you see them play their songs live,
the way you hear them on the CD.
I mean I never thought it was even possible to play those songs live.
I don't care if Styx is an old band.
I don't care if their songs don't play on the radio anymore.
I don't care if Tommy Shaw reminds me of David Spade..
Styx ranks very high on my list.
Allanah Myles opened up for them.
And Lord....bless her heart...
if she would have just relaxed and sing her songs
instead of trying very hard to be sexy and funny
or at least try to remember the words and the notes of the song.
Because it's either she is a half step flat, or we are sitting too far.
I mean she looked pretty good with that Blood red cocktail (mini) dress,
but when you sit like a trucker, it doesn't really appeal as a legendary Diva.
There was one point when she sang "Black Velvet",
where she was trying to be very sexy, slowly sitting down,....
then
BAM!!!
..she lost her balance and hit the floor like a drunken co-worker
on your company's Christmas party.
Anyways....
The way STYX performed made us forget everything.
They played every song like it was their last.
God, how I wish I could give that 100 percent to every music that I play.
Maybe I need more inspiration.....
Maybe...I need more alcohol.
