Three more days before our
Christmas Holidays!!
Oh My God! this is going to be the longest three days ever.
I woke up at 7:30 am today,
Alarm clock blasting like the bombs at
Kandahar.
I open my eyes around 7:45, thinking
"Is it Friday yet?"
Just totally unable to move, wondering what would happen if I would call in sick.
Nnaahhh!! too obvious.
I couldn't think of
any excuse
Lord help me.
This will be a very
long day.
Anyways,
I read this article in the news today,
(okay I didn't read it..but I read the title)
that some people complain about the celebration of Christmas.
This reporter said that
"Not everybody celebrates this holiday... and some find it offensive.
So it shouldn't be celebrated as grand."
or something like that.
Well, Here's what I say to that.
FFFFAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKYYYYOOOOUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
I mean, I don't celebrate Hannukkah,
but you don't see me complaining that I don't get gifts do you?
You don't see me joining you on your Gay Pride Parade,
but you don't see me bitchin' about how you cause traffic out on the road.
What is up your freakin butt?
Geezz..some people huh?
You know, no matter how much you care and understand about others,
some people are just plain assholes.
Oh please ...let the
weekend come.
Another weekend jam session with two great musicians.
Ryan Forsberg and
Mike Wennerwald.
2 great guys that I work with.
MAN! These guys can play! (See
November 16, 2001 Update)
Ryan brought his big ass amp that just totally made his playing even more crisp.
Mike, as always, with his amazing licks, made the session at his house even more enjoyable.
One good bonus though is Mike's girlfriend
Becky.
With a powerful voice and a great sense of humour, was just the perfect addition.
It is so enjoyable playing with them.
You know, real people who can really play.
I mean, I have played with a whole bunch of musicians, and very seldom where you get the opportunity
to play with someone who knows what they are doing but wants to have fun as well.
I have jammed with some who just plays just to show off.
Or one of those
"I-can-do-this-and-I-can-do-it-fast kinda people"
Then looks at everybody to make sure they are watching.
I am no Carlos Santana, nor Django Reinheart,
but I think that is just sad.
They just totally missed the music.
Anyways, We played some classic tunes from Santana's
"Black Magic Woman",
(which I just learned that morning),
and
"The Girl From Ipanema" which Mike just taught us that day.
(My finger still feels weird Mike! I told you they were not meant to stretch that way).
We
"did" record it this time and I will post it up as soon as we convert it to MP3's.
Stay tuned..
(It's up! - check it out!!)
