One of the things I find hard to explain (mostly to myself),
is the definition of Music.
How can I define something so vastly unique?
Something that is different for every person.
Something that has to be experienced
to fully grasp its meaning.
Sure, we can quote famous people and musicians on how they interpret music,
just to help us understand how it affects other people and other generations.
Sure, we can listen to different genres
and explore how deep the music that is unfamiliar to us can go.
I can play you each and every chord
and feel the power of each vibrating note it can deliver.
(My favourite is the power of “E minor.”)
But these are all different for everyone.
I can hear those notes and understand their interpretations
But it won’t be the same to someone else.
As I narrow it down, I have come to the conclusion that
Music Is Life.
It truly is.
There is music for every single emotion on this earth.
It walks abreast with each and every chapter in your life.
From Birthdays
to Funerals.
To Church and Weddings.
To Movies and Shows.
From the Concert venues you attend
to the Karaoke night at your friend’s place.
For cheering up when you’re down.
And for celebrating when you’re not.
Even the first cries of a new born child are music.
For me personally,
I associate the music I play
with how I handle Life.
Most of the decisions I made are from my conscience.
Just like how I play the music
that flows through my mind.
But more often than not,
I end up playing just a bunch of notes
and they tend to end up very messy.
That’s when I get into most trouble
if I apply that in my day to day journey.
But I produce the sweetest, most genuine note I can muster
when I play from the heart.
Just like in Life.
I have had the most fun times,
with the sweetest memories I am certain to remember,
by following the exact same thing.
