Today’s Friday Five

So, here’s another Friday Five.

1. How many hours a day/night do you usually sleep?

I think I get about 5.
But, According to the sleep study I went through,
apparently, I wake up about 30 times in an hour.
That’s like every 2 minutes. Right? Is it?
I don’t know. I don’t feel like doing Math.
That’ll bore me to sleep.

2. What do you do when you can’t sleep?

I just stare at the wall all night and cry.
Come to think of it, I should do Math.

3. How often do you devote time to just thinking about something?

Are you kidding me? I live in the world of Overthinking.
Seriously. I bought Real Estate and everything.

4. If you had to choose one person to never talk to again, who would you choose?

Anyone who has done me or my loved ones wrong.
Listen. Do not believe in that forgive and forget shit.
Always choose their disappearance from your life rather than being disrespected.
Trust me on this.
I did the Math.

5. If you had to choose one person, NOT your significant other, who you would speak to every day for the rest of your life, who would you choose?

That would be my son.
No one has made me laugh as hard as that kid did.
I am very proud of what he has become.

I, too, belong to the generation of kids who grew up with Sesame Street.

In fact, It’s where I learned Conversational English rather than in school.

Not to mention the songs and jingles this show had that I still play
or still stuck in my head.
I still count to 12 the way that song goes with the Pinball Machine and everything.
You know what I am talking about.

The characters Luis, Gordon, Bob, David and even Mr. Hooper were the ones I looked up to.
They were big influences in my life that taught me how to interact with people
and to those who are different from me.

I watched this show religiously when I was young.
Sure, I had the biggest crush on Maria, but that’s besides the point.

Up to this day, I still wish to know how to get to Sesame Street.
Where the days are sunny and the clouds get swept away.

Rest In Peace, Señor Luis.
Muchas Gracias.

International Women’s Day – 2022

Like I have said before, I am lucky enough to have very strong women in my life.
Friends and Family whom I have seen persevere and survive.
I have known them to accomplish great things and overcome difficult times.
I applaud each and every one of them.

Do not get me wrong.
There were also a number of women who were a part of my history that have affected me negatively.
I’d like to think that they were not happy with their lives, determined to destroy and ruin other people’s too.
I was just unfortunate to be in their way.

But this post is not about those unpleasant ones.
There will always be one in a crowd. One or two in every family.

This post is a shout-out to the beautiful women in our lives who gave their pure Love and sacrifice.
Not because they are forced to or because they expect something in return,
but because it’s just what they are.

And a Hero comes along…

Coming back to work today after my #valenTy Birthday weekend,
all employees got a card from the local school here. Isn’t this card adorable?

Now I’m not a front-line worker but I suppose they see me as a Hero too. And appreciated.

It doesn’t matter if the drawings are either Heart Balloons or Swimming Sperm
or even Sperm Balloons. The important thing is .. I’M A HERO!!!

…. And then a hero comes along… with the strength to carry ooonnn (song fades)
