You know another thing I hate?

Arrogance!

I have been in the Technology field for quite some time now.
And I like It.
I enjoy it.
But if there’s one thing I can not stand,
it’s I.T. arrogance.

These people who think they know everything.
(Man, I wish I do know everything in this field.)

That is not really the problem.
The problem is when they patronize other people
And make fun of them for not being as elite as them.

Elite?
What makes you think you are?
Your level ranking on W.O.W.?
Your awesomeness on Guitar Hero?
Or your breathtaking MySpace page?

And just because other people use ‘old school’ techniques
To fix ‘new school’ issues,
does not give you the permission to parade your knowledge
in scripting or queries,
or whatever code language you read on the internet.

I am not just talking about one field here.
You know what I am talking about.
You see these people around you.
People who think they are better than anyone else.

Oh, and while I am at it…

Don’t you love those people who think that
the world revolves around them?
Every single thing you say, they turn it around
and make the whole conversation revolve around
their experiences, their adventures and their situations.

Even if you talk about the most uncommon, unrealistic subject,
they will always squeeze themselves in on the story.
My God! I just mentioned a simple remark.
I didn’t want to hear your whole life story.

And while I am at it…

What about these guys who freakin’ customize their motorcycles, cars or trucks
to make the loudest engine roar with deafening decibels?

You know, those loud-mufflers and thumping-music loving freaks.
Nobody cares if you have a twin turbo engine
that kicks about 600 Horsepower.

My car has 162HP,
but I bet you I can get to my house as quick as you can.
with less fuel consumption, and less noise.

And while I am at it…

I hate Opportunists.
Those people who smell the beautiful scent of your name
when they need something,
but kicks you down when they get what they want.
They always take advantage of the kindness of others.
I loathe these backstabbing bastards!

And while I am on a rampage here,
I better finish this post.
It’s going to take me all night to write down all the things that piss me off.

I am not perfect,
Let me make that clear.
I have my share of faults.

I just wanted to say that before I end this,
Because you never know when some ‘Elite’ person
would lecture me on everything I just said,
thinking that this post is about them.
