Tyler’s New Thingies

Master Jedi turns 7!

The kid turns 7 today.
And we brought him to Disney last week.

He got picked for the Jedi Training Academy.

He was also picked to ask Crush (Finding Nemo) a question.

I didn’t get to video that one but here is what the conversation was like:
Tyler: “How was it when you were in the movie?”
Crush: (Pauses) “I was in a movie?”
Tyler: “Yes! Remember? Finding Nemo?”
Crush: “Oh yeah. It was ok. It took us about an hour and a half to find him.”

The kid had a great time.
And so did I.

Thank you to all who greeted him.
Happy Birthday, Son!

There he goes.

Last week, my son learned to ride his bike on 2 wheels.

So we went biking today,
and this is a live shot of him while he’s in front of me. **

I remember when he first crawled.
Then not too long after that, he walked.
Now he bikes.

Next thing you know, he’s going to drive.
Going on dates.
Borrowing my car.

I try to think of all the things I taught him,
and the things I get to teach him.

He really is growing.

Though someday, I fear.
I won’t be able to help him much,
when some girl breaks his heart.

I guess, we’ll deal with that when we get there.

**please do not attempt to take pictures while riding a bike.
I am a professional idiot and I do not think what I do sometimes.
I repeat. Please do not try it.

Band Name

A couple of days ago,
I was playing my guitar,
and my son was playing his Legos.

As much as how busy he was with his engineering skills,
he somehow managed to listen to the music I was playing.

I happen to be playing this –> Click here.

Something with a catchy beat.

Then he started drumming the table.

In sync to my playing,
he kept on drumming.

As we both finish,
he said, and I quote:

“Daddy, someday we’re gonna have a band,
I play the drums and you play the guitar.”

I said,
“That would be awesome!”

He said,
“Yeah, and the name of our band would be … Sun Break.”

“Sun Break?”
I asked.
“Why Sun Break?”

He answered.
“Because that’s the name of our band.”

“Okay.” I answered gleefully.

Then he asked,
“What was the name of that song?”

I said, “Maybe I’m a Leo.”

“Okay.” He answered.
“But we’re gonna name it Skeleton Maybe I’m a Leo.”

“Why?” I asked again.

He said,
“Because it would sound more cool.”

I rest my case.

So you heard it here my friends.
Here on denofmusic.com

This is where you first read about “Sun Break.”

The band of the future.

Another T.N.T.

Tyler’s New Thingies.

Man, we haven’t done this in a while huh?

Here’s a recent one.

Before meeting the gang in Atlanta.
I had a little chat with my son,
and…

Ty: Okay Tyler. I need you to be very good today, alright?

Tyler: Okay Daddy.

A couple of minutes later.

Ty: Tyler, remember what I asked you? I need you to be very good today okay?

Tyler: Okay Daddy.

A couple more minutes later.

Ty: Okay, we’re about to see my friends. I need you to be very good today Tyler, okay?

Tyler: Okay! Okay Daddy! I’ll try. Settle down.

Well.
That put me in my place didn’t it?

In his defense,
he was very good.

I was not.

What do you do?

If your 4 year old –>

Becomes a computer addict, –>

and won’t even let you use your own. –>

What do you do?

Beg.
Cry.
Do not feed them.
Lock them in the bathroom.
Beat them up.

Build them their own! –>

Now, I have my computer all to myself!

Hahaha!!!

I missed you, my baby!

T.N.T.

Tyler’s New Thingies.

I know, I should have posted a K.L.T.,
but this one has to be put here.

A couple of days ago, while I was tuning my guitars,
Tyler grabbed the mic and started singing.

I recorded him just for the fun of it,
since the kid just wouldn’t stop.

Good thing my friend Abbie, updated her site,
and wrote about her little precious angel.
Which made me remember this little ditty from Tyler.

I now present to you,

Tyler, singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

How’s that for his ending, eh?

Knock Knock!

Before going to bed.

Tyler: Daddy! Knock-knock.

Me: Who’s there?

Tyler: Mater! (From the movie, Cars)

Me: Mater who?

Tyler: It’s Mater!! Hahaha!!

Me: Hahaha!! That’s funny!

Tyler: Yeah! Haha!

Okay,
anyone who gets the joke,
gets a cookie,
when you explain it to me.

I’m going to bed.
