Here’s another proof of my Dad’s corny jokes.
And by Jokes, I mean be ready to cringe.
I drove him to Tarlac this one time to see one of his clients.
He talked to the gentleman for a bit while I waited at the lot looking at the vehicles parked there.
One of them was a Chevrolet Truck and while I was checking it out,
Dad and his client seemed to have agreed on something and he asked us to wait for him
as he’ll grab something in his house.
Dad comes up to me and noticed I was looking at the truck.
He said, “Nice truck, huh?”
“Yes, it is.” I replied back.
He added, “Someone once corrected me by pronouncing Chevrolet as Chev-Ro-LET.
With the hard “T” at the end. It should be Chev-Ro-LEY.”
I stared at him waiting for the punch line, I asked “What did you say?”
“He said, “Well, I suppose we should call your Mommy Lolette, Mommy LoLEY.”
–You see it’s my Dad’s Birthday today.
And I try to share all these memories of him so he will never be forgotten.
I miss him dearly.
Happy Birthday, Dad.

Holy crap. They are not kidding with this Covid thing. The body aches are nasty-brutal.
But the one I hate most is the loss of taste. That’s not cool. So I just keep eating to make sure it comes back.

Besides the horrible body aches and the cough that makes your lungs explode,
I am not a big fan of the “Loss of Taste” part.
It’s so bad it makes you want to hate everything in life!
Let me prove my point.
There was a time in history when explorers navigated the whole world looking for spices.
There was a massive trade of these things to make their food taste better.
Lives were lost and Lands were conquered just because the food back then was so bad!
No one likes bland, tasteless food!
I like food! I like to eat!
So during this whole time I have this Covid Crap,
I just keep eating everything in sight, hoping my taste buds would come back soon.
I wouldn’t want to murdelize people or conquerage some acreage!
And if I had to invent words like what I just did there,
You know I wasn’t kidding!

So, we were supposed to go to see a concert this weekend in Ottawa.
That’s not gonna happen now.
So, in addition to the things I prayed for ,
The Toronto Raptors game in Toronto we were gonna see – Cancelled.
Elton John‘s concert in Toronto- cancelled.
The concert in Ottawa wasn’t cancelled , but I got Covid instead.
There’s a lot more to this whining I’m doing. These disappointments are not new.
Seems like the universe is not quite done fucking with me.

Speaking of Siblings
Let me tell you this quick story.
Over the course of my life, these gentlemen have been more than brothers to me.
Whenever I get myself into trouble or find myself in a predicament that I would need their advice and support, my high school brothers would never let me down.
During my Senior Year, due to a big argument with a family member, they kicked me out.
I remember trying to think where I was going to go and live. Or who would take me in at a moments notice.
I immediately thought of going to my best friend, Darwin’s house. I know for sure he would calm me down and figure stuff out while I crash at their place.
I’m there most of the time anyways.
I ended up living at my Dad’s but that’s because I stopped over quickly since he lived closer. He didn’t let me leave after I told him what happened.
Anyway, my point is, family is not only defined by blood alone.
Sometimes, you have to have the Heart as well.
And these guys have them.
They have been more than family to me.
National Sibling Day 2022
A shout out to my brothers and sisters on this day.
Even though we are all far apart and our family is scattered all over the world, know that I am proud to be a part of us.
To Ate Beth, Ate Lynn, Kuya Jo, Kuya Mel, Bry and Kiel,
Mahal ko kayo mga Kapatid.

Today’s Friday Five
Here we go with today’s Friday Five again.
- Do you like children?
-Yes I do. Not in a creepy way though.
I am very good with kids. Well, I like to think I am. I have been told I am always a kid at heart that’s why I get along with them well.
So, do I like Children? Yes.
Teenagers? Not so much.
- How many children would you like to have in the future?
-I already have a son so I am good. But I wish I had a daughter too. My Baby Girl.
She’ll be a Daddy’s girl and I’ll be wrapped around her finger. The sweetness of a daughter to her Daddy seems like a very good feeling. - What if you were expecting sextuplets?
-First, I need to know if they’re all mine. Kidding!
I am sure it’ll be fun. That just means I have a complete Family Hockey Team in the Future! - If TLC offered to share your life on TV, would you accept the offer?
-I don’t know. How much are they paying me? What are the hours? Who are the sponsors?
What will I wear? - What would you name the sextuplets?
-I’ll probably go Alphabetically, just like in Bridgerton. Or I’ll just probably go with Biblical names.
Matthew, Mark, Donner, Blitzen, Tito and Jermaine.
I have a feeling Jermaine will be a handful.
Today I Learned This
For those of you who have known me, you know I was raised as a Christian.
Catholic upbringing, Catholic Schooling, and have been a member of the Church Choir,
or Church Music Ministries for years. I was even an altar boy for most of my grade school days.
I was involved with my High School Brothers in a weekly Prayer Group for so long also.
And as you know, I have expressed my faith and belief on this site multiple times.
There is even an actual Category for Worship Music on my Chorus page.
Because that is my background. I grew up playing in Church and singing the songs.
Anyway, Easter is coming next week and usually by this time
I am already preparing for another song to add here.
