Music Throwback

I spent a good hour yesterday,
looking for an old picture for Throwback Thursday.

It’s not easy finding one where I have pants on,
but no matter.

We’ll just look back at this Youtube Video
I recorded some time ago.

I’ll Always Love You, by M. Johnson.

I’m not sure if the “M.” Stands for Michael, Maurice, Mario or Magic.
We’ll just call him Mister Johnson, to be safe.

Here’s my attempt on his song.

Thanks for watching.

Check out all the other videos on my Youtube page.

You would think…

You would think,
for someone who loves and is very passionate about music,
God would surround me with people who have the same thing.
Or at least bring me close enough to make it happen.

Nope.

Father’s Day 2013

Some of the things I remember about my Dad
are his lame jokes.
Some of it were good,
but most of it were… cringe worthy.

He would tell the same jokes over and over
and all of us would just sit there and let him deliver it
and pretend that it’s our first time hearing them.

Allow me to share this one joke of his to you
that he told me when I became a father myself.

I will write it in Filipino first
since it was told to me that way
then I’ll translate it for our “Habla Inglesa” friends.

Keep in mind that we were on the phone,
talking very seriously.

Here it goes:

Hahah!! I am still laughing about this joke
after all these years.

And now I’m going to translate it …….

You know what..
I’d rather not.
I may get in trouble for this.

I miss you, Dad.
Happy Father’s Day

Tardis Friday

It’s Tardis Friday Shirt today.
Didn’t you guys get the memo?

UPDATE:
I just found out that today is US Flag Day.
Maybe I shouldn’t have worn this.
I might get shot.
These people have guns.
And they will use it.
Without hesitation.
On me.

Music for breakfast

I had music for breakfast today.
For such a crappy day yesterday, I needed to recharge with what I love most.

This is a Paul Gilbert song called “Three Times Rana.”
I love how catchy it was and quite fun to play on guitar.
Of course I couldn’t do it like he does.

This is typically my morning self and I am not very good with video editing.
Plus I still don’t have any make up on.
I am trying out the iMovie/Photo Booth combination on my Mac.
I need to learn how to make my sound appear better
and my appearance seem …uhh better to look at.
But at this point, those two wishes seem hopeless.

Anyway, Forgive the grainy video and the mediocre sound.
It’s what I had for breakfast.
At least I am full.

Every single time

Every freakin’ time I link a Social Media site to this blog
I end up hating it and end up doing a lot of cleaning.

I tried to link my Twitter posts here,
it just ended up messing up my archives.

I tried using a Facebook comment plugin,
it slowed the loading time to a crawl.

Ahhh! The things you have to do to feel
accepted and normal.

Why can’t I just do humiliating things for money?
